Even though Shakespeare was an unusual fellow, I love this quote:

-Unkown PAINTER
"Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing."

When I first heard this quote, I was perplexed. How was it possible to summon up the strutting and pretending of human nature in 5 words.

The World is a Stage.

I couldn't agree any more. I have a need for authenticity and I need to feel real in order to act. Hearing these words consoles the reality that we all live up to expectations, and staging instructions. We all write our own script, but I want to make mine worthwhile to hear. Authentic.

Only Shakespeare can insult me and amaze me at the same time.
